Paul Peuerl was a German organist, organ builder, renovator and repairer, and composer of instrumental music. Little is known about his later life and research on his work as a composer did not begin until 1865 when a complete set of works was first published.
This Canzon is from Weltspiegel as ist neue teutsche Gesänger à 5 (composed in Nuremberg in 1613), and is a collection of instrumental and vocal works influenced by madrigal and balletto traditions.
